Kendra Meeting 4 Invite
The Kendra meeting will take place on Monday 22nd October 2001 in the Ballroom on board HMS President, central London starting at 9.00am and finishing at 6.00pm. Yes, it's a day event! Dress how you want but be relaxed. Ballroom dress not required. We are here to share, explore and create.

Aims
The aims of the meeting are to bring people together to discuss the progress of Kendra Initiative, to take Kendra to the next level and take action point away with us. We will also be working through issues raised in the previous Kendra meetings.
There will be people from the music/radio industry, film/video/TV industry, Internet service providers, content delivery networks, commercial and free (open source) software communities, payment system companies, legal industry, financial industry, etc... All with a view to producing an open system for content distribution and delivery.
Who's Speaking
The day will be divided into 2 main sections. We'll start off with some short talks from a few diverse speakers and then we'll move on to workshops. So, the truth of it is that we'll all be speaking... The following people will do early talks with more on the way (here ordered alphabetically and not by speaking slot):

Neil Harris - Media Channel, talking: metadata and where it's going.
Nick Ogden CEO - WorldPay plc, talking: billing and payment systems evolution in the content value chain.
Paola Di Maio Editor - Content Wire, talking: the way forward for digital rights management.
Stacey Pogoda - Middlesex University, talking: interface design and the design process.
Steve Kennedy Head of Technology Futures - Thus Plc, talking: content providers, ISPs, caching and content peering.

Attendance Requirements - Please Read
This meeting is free and open to all but if you wish to attend the Kendra Initiative meeting make sure you are listed as doing so here. To make this meeting (and refreshments) a success it is essential that we get accurate numbers of people wishing to attend. The logistics of setting up workshops (and refreshments) require significant preparation so help us out and list yourself as soon as you can.

0930 Introductions and keynote presentations from speakers
1100 Tea and coffee

1300 Lunch
1400 First workshop: vertical - investigate interface requirements of each link of the whole content value chain: Form workgroups of like-link participants to discuss desired interfaces, common ground and ways of interoperating. No more than 5 people per group.
1500 Group presentations on workshop findings
1530 Tea and coffee
1600 Second workshop: horizontal - combine links to form whole content value chain: Form workgroups of unlike-link participants to create model of the whole content value chain while each participant represents one link within the group. Map out information flow between links that is required to facilitate desired interfaces for each link as defined in first workshop.
1700 Group presentations on workshop findings
1730 Groups looking at organisational structure and marketing. Assign tasks and assign coordinators. Summation and Q&A session.
1800 Networking, drinks and end of day

At the end of the day, the bar will be opened and BlueArc, the event sponsors (those lovely people), will buy everyone their first drink (beer, wine or soft drink - afraid spirits not included).
