To all,
I have proposed a revised agenda on the Wiki
acknowledging the fact that the meeting will only be from 2-5pm and other
feedback.
* 14.00 Introductions. Acceptance of agenda and/or any
amendments
* 14.15 Discussions of objectives for official second meeting of
the Cross-Industry metadata summit (June 2007)
** What can we agree are our
high-level goals at this stage? Lets formulate a single vision statement.
**
Are we aiming to capture commercial and functional requirements and take a
pre-canned solution, or are we going to build something?
** Can Kendra
evolve into a compliance/conformance organisation funded by members helping make
an open system become operational?
** What value does Kendra in particular
bring to the current and future market place?
** In its current state is
Kendra viable or interesting enough? What changes need to be made in the
near-term to make it so?
* 16.00 Review of who else is working on developing
the open content marketplace and how we can best cooperate
** Review of JuP
(Joined up PVR) progress on use cases and business models (Colin/Brendon)
**
Review of DMP (Digital Media Project) - comments by members who are familiar
with this initiative and how it relates to Kendra
** Possible cooperation
with P2P-NEXT project (Johan/Mark) - to help make it happen!
** Discussion:
is the vision and output of Kendra going to complement existing work? What are
our likely dependencies (Metadata solutions, DRM solutions, Copy Protection,
Distribution Systems) and how do we engage this stakeholder group.
* 16:45
AOB.
** Review of actions. Date of next meeting. Press release details.
* 17:00 until
* xx:xx Beers etc?
We can always amend this on the
morning as people wish.
See you there and bon weekend.
Mark
Stuart.
