Dear All,

Hope this newsletter finds you in good spirit and good health. Kendra
continues to make its way...

2. Weekly Kendra Team meetings in central London
3. Funding needed
4. Celebrities getting closer

1. PROTOTYPE KENDRA BASE SEMANTIC DEMO GOES ONLINE

To reach our goal of an open content marketplace requires interoperability
within all links of the content value chain. To get interoperability all
participants, in the chain, need to describe their information and business
practices in a highly structured way. It became clear that current
collaboration design tools, like email, wikis and blogs, don't enable
really structured descriptions. So, we've been developing our own, based on
semantic web* ideas.

Please do take a look at our early demonstration and provide us with
feedback here:

* The "semantic web" is the next generation Internet being developed by Tim
Berners-Lee's W3C - the people that bring you HTML and XML standards.

2. WEEKLY KENDRA TEAM MEETINGS IN CENTRAL LONDON

Want to contribute and be part of Kendra Team? Come along to our weekly
Kendra Team working meetings in central London. From 10.30 am to lunchtime.
The next few are on Wednesday 22/09/2004, Monday 27/09/2004 and Wednesday
06/10/2004. Please register in advance so we can choose suitable venues.
Information on future meetings and how to register here:

If you can't make these meetings then join us on the mailing lists and the
wiki.

3. FUNDING NEEDED

Developing the Kendra Base prototype costs money. We are having to pay
developers to build it. We need more money to continue the effort. So, dig
deep and get in touch.

4. CELEBRITIES GETTING CLOSER

Or perhaps we're getting closer to them. Either way emails have been sent
and action is being taken to gather celebrities to endorse Kendra
Initiative. Having well known people endorse our project will put us more
in the industry and public eye - which can only be good. If you are or know
a celebrity then help us promote Kendra to the wider world. See:

Thanks for reading.

Cheers Daniel
