[kNews] Final invite, 2000 films, 800 songs and counting...

Dear All,

Well, well, the catalogue trial has finally kicked off for real. Thanks to
whatmusic.com, Nigel Mazlyn Jones, Spiky Black Cat Records and Sandy Hoover
for pioneering the way. We now have some real data to play with. More to
follow...

Don't forget to attend our last planned introductory meeting on Wednesday
19th May. Let's make it a bit of a send off, eh? We'll be demonstrating our
prototype system and explaining how it will help us bring about an open
marketplace for content. And if you've never heard about Tim Berners-Lee's
vision of the semantic web then you should definitely come along as we'll
be talking about what it is and how we're using it.

Or, if you can't make it, but wish you could, you can hear the recordings
of our session at MILIA here:

It's now time to get down to the nitty gritty of putting this system
together. Does this mean that there'll be less newsletters? Heck no! I'll
be badgering you and informing you of new developments all the more! ;-)

If you want to assist with the project but can't make the meeting then
please join us on the mailing lists and on the wiki or reply to this email
if you want to ask a question or have a comment. The more people involved
in the project the faster we'll get to the goal. You *can* help:

Our last planned introductory meeting on Wednesday 19th May is at Charles
Russell Solicitors, 8-10 New Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1RS. Arrive 17:45
for a 18:00 start. You can one-click register below. For more details see:

Have a great weekend!

Cheers Daniel
