[kNews] KendraBase prototype development has started...

Dear All,

Meanwhile, back on planet Kendra, we've started development of our
KendraBase prototype. Yes, that's right, soon we'll have something for us
to get your teeth into. I simply can't wait...

1. Neil Harris, creator of Sohonet, hired by Kendra Foundation
2. KendraBase prototype starts to take shape
3. MILIA 2004 - World Interactive Content Forum - Endorsed
4. MIDEM 2004 - International Music Market - 40% off!

1. Neil Harris, creator of Sohonet, hired by Kendra Foundation

Neil Harris has been hired to develop the KendraBase prototype. His skills
are wide and various. Among his achievements he created Sohonet - the
extremely fast network that connects up many of the the film
post-production companies in London.

2. KendraBase prototype starts to take shape

It's great to finally start work on the prototype. My hope is that we can
create a very simple application that will enable people/organisations to
publish their catalogues, working practices and requirements for
KendraSystem. Whilst being able to easily search for people/organisations
with common working practices and ideas. And so, hopefully, lead us in a
direction where KendraSystem will just come to light via
people/organisations finding and hooking up with others to enable flow of
content and transactions.

Looking at the current work being done on the 'semantic web', bringing
'meaning' to what we're writing on our webpages, one gets an idea that all
this will be possible. Realising that the Internet will give us tools that
go far beyond our current collaboration practices. These are heady days...
