Dear All,
Just back from Glastonbury Festival and reminded why Kendra is so vital -
it's all about bringing content owners and content consumers closer
together. And so to the launch of the Kendra Catalogue Trial...
If you are not a music/film/content maker/owner/aggregator yourself but
know people/organisations/forums that are then please pass this information
on to them. I'm sure they will appreciate it.
1. You want Kendra? Kendra wants you
Kendra Initiative needs you. We are defining and building an open global
marketplace for you to sell/distribute your content. Consumers will be able
to easily search, find and buy your content from (what appears to be) one
global catalogue, using the interface/browser/application of their choice.
Sign up to the Kendra Catalogue Trial now and show your support for the
project here:
http://www.kendra.org.uk/catalogue.php#status
Kendra Initiative is a global collaborative design project with
participants drawn from content owners, content consumers, service
providers and technology creators. In order to create such an ambitious
system we need to have representatives from all of these groups from all
over the world, on board from day one. By putting your name on the project
website you'll be joining hundreds of other early adopters who have taken
the brave step of publicly stating that they want the Kendra System to be
brought to reality.
The Kendra System is totally decentralised. Although appearing to the
content consumer as one unified global catalogue it will in fact be a
collection of catalogues published by you and other content owners. Thus it
will enable content owners (big and small) to be in control of the sale and
distribution of their content. There is more information on the website
here:
