RE: [kFW] Draft letter to DTI asking for support...
Daniel et al.,
I have not heard on any successes/failures from the DTI letter. Has
anything occurred? Are there other entities (corporations/governments)
that are being targeted? Perhaps the next step is to outline some
detail on the organization, create a 'blue sky' document, and create a
high level architecture. Am I jumping the gun?

Hi John and All,

Is this where *you* want Kendra to go? Remember we're format agnostic so
anything goes. So, cool.
I'd love to get Clipserve content up on our Network Trial but my
priority
is to get the Kendra Foundation sorted first. Then, from a *solid*
basis,
we'll start to improve and expand the trials.
So for the moment why not get Servecast (or yourselves (or both)) to
host
some test content for the Network Trial. That would be cool - we need to
grow the number of servers in the trial. So when potential funders take
a
look at the project they can see people actively participating.

Hold on John! ;-) What's wrong with a 'commercial proposition'? Kendra
is
all about 'commercial proposition'. Yes, the Kendra project is being run
in
a non-profit way but the resulting Kendra system is about making money
for
content owners and service providers. Is that not coming across? Kendra
is
not about content at no cost (unless the content owner so chooses) and
it's
not about services at no cost (unless the service provider so chooses).
And
in some cases it could be that the content consumer gets paid - who
knows?
Kendra is all about seeing revenue flow. So, cool.
Cheers Daniel
