Re: [kFW] Kendra - An Introduction
Hi there All,
Some more thoughts sparked off from recent French conference - perhaps to
add in version 2.
The Kendra system is not a portal or an application. It is a language (a
set of protocols) that enable computers (running portals (websites) or
applications (locally)) to describe and move content and transact payments.
Third parties will need to develop these portals and applications and
Kendra Initiative should work with them closely.
Perhaps we should kick off third parties designing application interfaces
now. Any design companies listening? How about a competition to design the
best front end for our future media players. These would be models but
would allow us to specify requirements for the Kendra system. It would also
give something for the more artistically creative among to bite into. Hmmm...
Other "pay-per" ways that need to be included: pay-for-time, pay-for-data.
You can guess these came from telecom carriers, can't you?
I didn't mention DRM in the document but, I guess, it needs to be in there.
Please note that the master copy for "Kendra - An Introduction" is at:

In Kendraland the chicken and the egg crept up on each other on tiptoe and,
when they met, they merged into one...
Cheers Daniel
