How about a party in London on Friday October 12th?

All those in favour say "I"! As in: "I'll help with logistics!" ;-)

I'm returning to London from Berlin on the 11th and then hope to be  
off to the US a few days later.

The invite would be open to all. We'd especially push for the media  
industry to come along. Hold the party in Soho. Invites to other  
associations and forum outside of Kendra. Would we be able to get a  
bar to give us the space rather than having to hire?

Are there any potential clashes with other media events?

Can we have a quick straw poll of who can make it from this group?  
Can you come along? Do you want to?

If we need an excuse then we could use Kendra Initiative getting  
funded: 200K EUR over 4 years via P2P-Next project. We're 99% there!

Jari Ahola, the coordinator, says the negotiations with the EU must  
be ended by October 12th so we should know by that time for sure. But  
it looks as though there is a possibility we'll know sooner around  
September 3rd.

So, we can't announce funding success yet but we could announce the  
party.
