I haven't had too much time to work on this, but I thought you might be 
interested in the list below, which is a work-in-progress based on 
investigating a number of existing metadata proposals.

Note that many of them contain very similar names for the same thing, 
and some make finer distinctions that others do not: for example, a 
lyricist and screenwriter could both be called "writers", and the 
distinction should be made if possible, but the more general term is 
still useful if the finer distinction cannot be made.

I was in the process of meta-tagging these attributes, to start to 
create something that could be used to generate a formal ontology, but 
so far the only tags added are "P", meaning "is a person/organization 
attribute", and "R", meaning "is a reverse person/organization attribute".

Notice that the properties are intentionally orthogonal to the classes 
of object being described: for the kind of informal frame-like structure 
I think we need, any kind of object should be able to have any kind of 
attribute, so "kind" is an attribute, not a formal class.
