RE: [kEv] Summit: Name change to attract content owners?...

Isn't SUMMIT still to be used? It's Metadata that I agree needed to go. I
realise that Cross-Media and Converged Media can be applied ambiguously.
Cross-Media as I think you (Daniel) meant it referred to TV, Radio,
Internet, Mobile phone, etc. as delivery points or content players around
which the media industry has grown whilst Converged Media refers to the
technologies used to create, deliver and play content to/on these devices.
It is the convergence of the creation, delivery channel and player
technologies that has revolutionised the industry.

I think we should include monetisation of content and how that is supported
in metadata (although we won't use that word).

Hi,

It is interesting and useful to consider and reflect on the "first
impression" many people will have.

My thoughts. Since much of the change and development is driven by the
bottom line, the name should convey this important "evolving commercial"
element. I originally liked "summit" it implied a cross road where
significant decisions would be taken. But yes .. it may be dry and/or
open to misinterpretation.

So how about "Kendra Initiative - Emerging Market in Converging Digital
Media"
