How about change Cross-Media to Converged Media? IP and digitisation have lead to a convergence of technologies delivering media experiences.
That's an interesting idea and brings up part of the issue here. The music, film, image, book, industry sectors all see them selves as independent. On the whole, they don't see the gains to cross fertilisation of ideas. That's why it's crucial to get them all in a room to start talking. So, yes, you're right, all media has converged in many ways, but we have to play their game a little bit and talk their language of independent industry sectors. Once we have them in a room then we can suggest that working and sharing ideas across media sectors (converging) will benefit them.
