RE: [kDev] I've had enough of Majordomo - a R4nT!...
It seems like the three major 'free' versions of mailing list software
are:
1. Majordomo
2. ezmlm
3. Mailman
And Communigate Pro as a commercial version (e.g. not free).
>From about 5 minutes of Googling, ezmlm gets the most praise. I have
not really looked at the feature sets in detail, though...
OpenOffice uses ezmlm, and it seems to be very good. They support
regular mailing lists, digest mailing list, and also searching for
archived messages.
I don't know how much customization that they did, but to take a look,
go to:
http://api.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectMailingListList
Have fun,
Scott

Well, just split the restrict-post list from the receive list. Now
anybody
that has registered for k-news can send email to any list and I can also
add people (to a special list) that aren't even registered yet - like
our
friends from OCC. And now Steve can send with either of his emails! ;-)
Should reduce unwanted bounces - coolio!
It's a cludge - but it's a better cludge! Isn't that a Homer Simpson
quote? ;-)
