This seems to be a good idea generally as it will speed up configuration and
development.

Well a Compaq Proliant would be nice (ML370 I know, since we have them
here), but any newish box (PIII/750Mz/128MB/50GB) will be enough. At a pinch
an older machine could be used given the number of seats we can serve per
dev license on Real 8 (20 seats per machine). Its also clear than we aren't
really doing anything public for a while so we could imagine that even a
odler machine could cover us. We can always upgrade to a larger sponsored
box later on anway.
